Indian Yamaha Motor launched its new motorbike Yamaha FZ250 in an event on 24th January 2017. The launch was hosted by the Bollywood star John Abraham. Currently, only selected dealers will be having the authority to sell the bike on acceptance of an advance payment of Rs 10,000.
Now, if we consider the design aspect, it is completely different than its earlier models that are selling in Brazil. It is for the second time in India that any bike will feature bikini fairing with LED headlamps, first being Bajaj Dominar 400. The fuel tanks are hunky and the seat gets narrowed towards the tail with a two-piece step-up design.
It has quite comfortable ergonomics with enough length handlebar. For quick braking, the FZ 250 has disc brakes at both the ends. The wheels have the touch of alloys, while the tires are manufactured by MRF. It also comes with telescopic forks which take care of the suspension responsibilities.
The bike is powered by an air+oil cooled single cylinder engine. Some design aspects have been borrowed from the previous successors of Yamaha, R15 and FZ.
Through its branding, Yamaha is optimistic to create a “new breed of riders” through the launching of this bike. Coming to the price section, the bike is priced at Rs. 1.2 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).
This bike is expected to bridge the gap between existing FZ 150 and the 300cc Yamaha R3. Through FZ 250, Yamaha is now pulling up socks to give a tough competition to Bajaj, KTM and Honda.
