In May, Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi Max with three variants for internal storage – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. But now, the company has silently announced the 16GB variant as well as in the market. The combination of 16GB and 2GB RAM is available through the several Chinese dealers priced at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs. 12,100).
Xiaomi has not formally launched the new variant. According to the report, the Mi Max 16GB option supports Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM. All other features keep similar to the Xiaomi Mi Max 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB variant.
Recall the details of the previously launched Xiaomi Mi Max, the 32GB option is powered by the similar processor paired with 3GB RAM and is available at CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 15,000). The 64GB option with 3GB RAM sold at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 17,000) and the 128GB storage / 4GB RAM bundle variant is being sold at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 20,500). The 64GB and 128GB variant Mi Max support 1.8Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor.
The Xiaomi Mi Max was also come to the Indian market last week with the MIUI 8 global ROM. Recently the 32GB storage/3GB RAM has been only available, but the company has affirmed that the 128GB storage/4GB RAM bundle variant will soon be made available in the India priced at Rs. 19,999. The 32GB variant is being sold only by the flash sales on Mi.com at Rs. 14,999. There is no information given yet regarding the launching of the 16GB variant in India.
Recall specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Max is furnished with all-metal body design and features a big 6.44-inch full-HD 342ppi display. It houses a 16MP back camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle view. The hybrid dual-SIM device includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS with Glonass and Wi-Fi with Mimo. It sports a massive 4,850mAh battery and Measuring 173.1×88.3×7.5mm, it weighs 203 grams.
