Xiaomi Redmi 3S

The recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone is started receiving pre-orders on GearBest. At a price of $151.89 along with free global shipping.

Xiaomi has announced that the smartphone will go on sale on Thursday. The new smartphone comes in two variations, in terms of memory and inbuilt storage – CNY 699 (Rs. 7,000) priced Redmi 3S supports 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM while CNY 899 (approx Rs. 9,000) priced Redmi 3S features 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. It will be available via the company’s online store mi.com. However, no information has been revealed yet by the company regarding its global availability.

The Redmi 3S is powered by 1.1GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Storage of the headset can be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It supports hybrid SIM slot (Micro + Nano) which can act as a microSD slot.

The main highlight of the phone is that it also have the fingerprint reader at the back panel. The Redmi 3S comes with a 5-inch HD(720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is installed with MIUI based Android 5.1 Lollipop. The camera modules include 13MP back camera with phase detection autofocus, HDR mode, f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording and LED flash and 5MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording ability feature.

Connectivity options include 4G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass and micro-USB slot. Measuring 139.3×69.6×8.5mm, the headset weighs 144 grams. It supports 4100mAH battery and available in three colours- Grey, Silver and Gold.
