The Xiaomi Mi 6 debuted in April this year in its home country is might be getting launched in a new variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. At the Chinese certification website TENNA, a smartphone has been spotted with a similar configuration to the Mi 6, however, the primary and secondary memory was different.
Xiaomi has introduced its Mi 6 in two variants – one of them features a couple of 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage with other one flaunts a high-end pair of 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB of storage. As per the sources, it is expected that manufacturer will be launching this new variant of Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone on November 11, in Beijing itself.
The prior available models i.e with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM is available at 2,499 Yuan which converts approximately to 23,436 INR, meanwhile, the upper variant is priced at 2,899 Yuan which approximately equals to 27,172 INR. The speculations suggested that the newer variant with 4GB RAM will be available at 200 Yuan lesser price i.e. 2,299 Yuan which converts to around 22,684 INR.
There are no reports suggesting the launch of Mi 6 in the Indian Smartphone market. But we can say that the phone will get a price tag around 25,000 INR in India when compared to its Chinese prices. Also, some websites like eBay India and GeekBuying are selling the handset in the country, unofficially. The prices on these websites are varying from Rs.28,000 to Rs. 35,000.
Though the Chinese smartphone giant is launching yet another variant of Xiaomi Mi 6 its launch is still pending in India. As the company has made a strong presence in the Indian and other South Asian markets, it is expected to take it further soon.
Falling light on the existing four-sided 3D glass designed Mi 6 smartphone, the front of the handset is loaded with 5.15-inch FHD display which is paired with an 8-megapixel of front shooter. Whereas at the back, the handset boasts a pair of 12-megapixel snappers as a dual camera setup. One camera has a wide-angle lens with 4-axis Optical Image stabilisation and another one is for 2x lossless zoom. Both front and back are equipped with a glass enclosed in a stainless steel frame.
Running on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is powered by a 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64 bit octa-core processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The fingerprint scanner under the front glass and its splash-resistant property make the Xiaomi Mi 6 a kick-ass smartphone. The MIUI layer utilises fuel from a 3350 mAh to juice up the device in an optimised manner such that it can last for a full day.
As far connectivity is concerned the Dual SIM Mi smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n) with 2.2 dual WiFi technology, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GLONASS, NFC and USB-Type C. However, the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack is missing on the Mi 6.
