As per the latest reports, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a new type of service for its Indian customers. The name of the new service is Mi Service Order Status which allows a person to track his/her Mi phone’s repair status online. You can know the repair status of your Xiaomi phone online through company’s official website.
Once you open the website, you need to go the support option, and after clicking the support option, you will come across a Service Order Status page. Then you have to enter your contact number or the order/service number or the IMEI no. or the serial number of your phone. Then after entering the details, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After you input the OTP, click on Submit option, and you will see the status of the service repair displayed on the screen.
The online tracking repair status comes with five stages- under inspection, work in progress, ready for delivery, delivered and canceled. According to Xiaomi, the status Under Inspection means your device is being checked and Work in progress means your device is getting repaired. Similarly, Ready for delivery indicates that your device is repaired and is ready to be delivered and Delivered means you have accepted the delivery of your device. And, finally, the Cancelled status means your service order is canceled.
So, Mi owners can easily know in which stage of repair service their phone is currently in. Manu Jain, Vice President and India MD of Xiaomi, took to twitter an informed about the launch of their new service. “You usually call the service center executive to know the status of your device given for repair. Now with the help of service order status, you can easily track your device and know its service status online,” Xiaomi wrote in a blog post.
The main motive behind the launch of this Mi Service Order Status feature is to simplify the after sale process and ensure clarity regarding the repair status. As the sale of Mi phones is increasing rapidly, that means, there will be more rush for after sale services. Also, many customers find the customer care service unit crowded with people and they have to wait for long hours to get their phones repaired. Also, calling the customer care representative can be a tiring experience. Therefore, the new Mi Service Order Status feature will help customers get real-time information and response about their phone service. In this way, both the time and energy of the customers can be saved, and the company can be able to provide a qualitative and hassle-free service to its customers.
