Xiaomi launches Mi Mix 2 Black Ceramic and Starck Edition variants

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s first bezel-less smartphone Mi Mix 2 has just received a limited-edition version called the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition. This handset carries a signature of the French designer Phillipe Starck who designed both the Mi Mix and the Mi Mix 2 smartphones at the back. Experience a whole new level of technology and style with true immersive full display design. This device is 12 percent smaller than its forerunner Mi MIX, and the display uses an 18:9 aspect ratio the result of the relentless pursuit of technology innovation. The company has now introduced a special edition of the flagship smartphone along with the Black Ceramic version. Designed by Philippe Starck, the special edition version has ‘Starck’ embossed on its back. Xiaomi will start selling both the variants in China beginning November 28.

This revolutionary gadget comes with a large 15.2 cm display, housed in a body that is smaller than typical 13.9 display smartphones. The innovation in full-screen display technology introduces a slimmer chin, smaller front camera, and a hidden proximity sensor that fits Mi MIX 2 flawlessly in your palm.

Both the newly announced Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition and Mi Mix 2 Black Ceramic Edition come with 128GB and 8GB RAM storage. Apart from the higher RAM and exclusivity factor, the remaining of the specifications remain the same. The new Mi Mix 2 Ceramic black Edition is priced at approx. Rs 46,100, the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition will cost Rs 49,000, which makes it the most expensive Xiaomi smartphone till time.

This smartphone is dressed to impress with a four-sided curved ceramic backplate and 18-karat gold-plated florid camera rim, yet is extremely durable with an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame. It is also extremely thin and light, delivering a spectacular hand feel. This phone is supercharged by a Snapdragon 835 processor and uses the latest UFS2.1 storage technology. It uses an IMX386 rear camera sensor, large 1.25μm pixels, and 4-axis. Optical image stabilisation to help take gorgeous photos in all conditions. The high power receiver unit comes with an attuned sound-guiding channel so that you can receive clear, crisp calls even under noisy environments.

This handset measures 151.8 x 75.5 x 7.7mm and weighs in at 185 grams. The dual-SIM device works on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 skin on top and carries a non-removable 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
