From now on, you need not bother about Flipkart’s flash sales of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G smartphone as the company announced that the device will now be available for sale like any other product. However, this only applies to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, not its flagship device, Mi 4 smartphone.
Xiaomi India on Friday announced from its official Twitter account that the company has managed enough stock, which leads to its sale of the phone without any registration process. However, sources reported that Xiaomi is making the stunt to increase its annual sales and sell out the remaining stock. It has also been said that this trick will allow the company to deepen its roots in the country.
Refreshing tech-specs, runs Xiaomi’s MiUi interface based on Android 4.2 supported by a 1.6Ghz quad-core Qualcomm 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. It is featured with 13 MP of primary camera and 5 MP of front-facing camera. The device got a 3100 mAh battery and boasts 5.5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Earlier, Airtel partnered Xiaomi for the offline sale of Redmi Note 4G in the front running Airtel stores across six selected cities in India.
Past this, for the first time, Xiaomi is going to sell its products in the United States. Commencing with the sales of headphones, smart wristbands and other accessories, the Apple of China is going to enter the Cupertino giant’s territory. Xiaomi is starting with the accessories but not with the signature smartphones for the fact that the company is highly based on customer feedback and is not yet ready with the resources required to set-up smartphone sales in the US.
“The US consumer is probably the most demanding consumer, with the highest quality bar and the most informed opinions of anyone anywhere in the world,” International VP Hugo Barra says at the announcement. “Part of the reason why we want to be here is because we want to enter that feedback loop. We want to hear what people think about our products, we want to get feedback and improve our products everywhere.”
