Xiaomi slashes price for flagship Mi 4 smartphone, now at Rs. 17,999

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi is offering a price cut of Rs. 2,000 on its flagship device Xiaomi Mi 4.

Manu Jain, Xiaomi India head, officially tweeted that starting from today noon, the 16 GB variant will be available at a price of Rs. 17,999 and the 64 GB variant will carry a price tag of Rs. 21,999. The tweet stats, “ – Great news! Starting today 12 noon, we’re dropping the price of Mi 4: 16GB will now go for Rs 17,999, n 64GB for Rs 21,999.”

Later on, he further announced on the same platform that these price cuts are permanent and the devices will currently being sold on e-commerce giant Flipkart and The Mobile Store. Also, the devices will be soon available for sale on and Snapdeal as well. He said, “ – new price is permanent. Mi 4 is available on @Flipkart n themobilestores. It’ll soon be available on @Snapdeal n @amazonIN.”

Refreshing the specs, the Mi4 runs on MiUi6 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat that is supported by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon Krait 400 processor that is coupled with a 3GB of RAM. Moreover, the company has fronted the device with a offers a 5-inch 1080p FHD IPS LCD and an 8 megapixel of front facing selfie shooter.

Meanwhile, for a decent photography experience the flagship device is packed with a 13 megapixel of primary image snapper that captures high-quality images in daylight and supports low light photography as well. The rear camera is featured with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 BSI sensor and 4K video recording. The device  is powered with a 3080 mAh of a gigantic battery.
