WhatsApp, the leading instant messaging site has never lagged behind in adding new features to its iOS and Android platforms. In the wake of experiencing the controversial upgrade for data sharing with Facebook, WhatsApp, this time, brought up new features including Snapchat-like drawing function and selfie flash on the beta version of its Android app.
A couple of days before, WhatsApp introduced the feature of recording and sending six second animated GIF videos and now on its latest Android Beta Version of 2.16.264, it has added two new highlights – selfie flash for snapping better selfies in darkness and sending Snapchat-like Doodles.
What are the new features???
The first feature added by WhatsApp is the selfie flash which will allow the users to snap brighter selfies in low light. With the help of built-in camera interface of WhatsApp, one can click brighter photos in dim light. To use the feature, users need to tap on the camera icon located beside the typing box and switch the camera mode to the selfie. Now, the screen will highlight the selfie flash icon on the left, by tapping on which one can turn it on or off easily. To take better selfies in stumpy light, turn the option on and click the pictures.
Rolling over to the second highlight of the latest Beta version of Android App, WhasApp added a Snapchat-like doodle option that will allow the users to sketch on top of photos and includes emoji icons, stickers, and personalized text overlies. However, this features only applicable to the Smartphones featuring built-in camera of WhatsApp.
Currently, the upgraded version is available in Android Beta version for testing and soon will be dispatched to the main Android platform.
