WhatsApp is much praised for introducing new and useful features with each of its upgrade and this time is no exceptional. While the recently brought feature of the Facebook-owned site enabled users to share their account info with Facebook, again the instant messaging site is rumoured to work on a new update for accessing the features of Group Chat Invites.
Since past couple of months, the high buzzes of WhatsApp working on bringing new features of group chat invite are hitting the market. Though WhatsApp has not made any official confirmations yet, the rumours have kept on overwhelming the users of WhatsApp. As per the leaks and reports, WhatsApp with its upcoming update will introduce a new Group Chat Invite feature that will help the users to send shareable links to add new participants in their group. For now, the feature is being tested in the latest version of Android beta app and soon will be available in full-grown version.
The new Group invites feature for the groups of WhatsApp, for now, is only accessible by Android users using the smartphones with running the version of 2.16.281 and above. The new Link Sharable Feature for Group Chat is also offered to iOS users who are using iOS mobiles with version 2.16.10 and above. Though the Update is now in its Beta Testing Mode users can download it easily.
Once you moved up to the latest Beta form of WhatsApp, the Admin of WhatsApp Groups will be able to include new people through shareable link feature. And to get this new feature, the Group Administrators will have to tap on the add member option, following a pop-up flash on the mobile screen, stating “Invite to the group via the link” on top of the contacts.
Once tap on the option, the “Invite link” page will open with content saying, “anyone with WhatsApp can follow this link to join this group. Only share it with people you trust.” The Admin will have to send the links to the people they want to have in their group. Apart from the Share Link option, the senders will get few other options like Send link via WhatsApp, copy link, share link, and revoke link.
Along with this new addition, the latest beta version also brings numerous bug fixes and is reported to soon available officially.
