Popular messaging app WhatsApp is constantly trying to improve its voice and Video calling feature. It always tries that the information sharing should not be limited to only message typing and chat. So, in order to provide its users with a more advanced voice and video calling experience, WhatsApp is gearing up to provide group voice as well as group video calling feature to its users.
With this new feature, users will be able to make conference calls- both in a voice as well as video mode and can instantly connect with their friends, family members, and office colleagues. Although it is not clear when WhatsApp will officially roll out these important features, still as WhatsApp has started beta testing, so it can be expected that the new features will be rolled out soon.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp might roll out the group calling feature in its next beta update. It notes that the users will get the feature in the 2.17.70 beta WhatsApp update. WABetaInfo tweeted that the 2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls. Previously, it was internal news, but now it’s all confirmed. There are a lot of hidden references about group voice calls, but there is only one reference to group video calls. So group video calls are partially confirmed at the moment. This means it is sure that group voice calls will be added in the next WhatsApp update and the Group Video call feature is still an uncertainty.
WaBetaInfo noted that WhatsApp 2.17.70 sends a request to the server to ask if the user you are calling is in another group call, and the references they found are very strong (but they aren’t visible for you at present), and they have allowed them to understand what WhatsApp is going to add in the application in its next update. It is also expected that WhatsApp might roll out the Unsend and Delete for everyone feature in its next update. The Facebook-owned WhatsApp has added many features to its platform this year and the latest group voice and video calls feature, if rolled out, would be a perfect end to this year’s advancements. Recently, WhatsApp introduced a new feature for its Android and iOS users called the live location sharing.
