Varun Dhawan starring Badlapur will be hitting the theatres on 20th February and Varun is set to break his chocolate boy image and show people his dark side.
The film’s genre is Indian neo-noir crime drama film. It is directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in main roles. Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte will be appearing in supporting roles.
This film is a story of a man named Raghav a.k.a Raghu who is a man with a past. He had the misfortune of witnessed his wife and son being killed during a robbery. But fifteen years later, he finds out who killed his family (Liak) and he sets on a revenge spree. Huma Qureshi is playing a prostitute who is the link between him and Liak.
Varun has often been teased and compared with his co-stars of ‘Student of the Year’ to which he politely replies that everyone has their own goals. They might be doing a lot of films while Varun is delivering only a few but he says that he wants to be the next Varun Dhawan and not a replica of someone else.
On being asked how it was working with the Badlapur team, he said that it was an absolute pleasure working with Huma Qureshi and she has become a great friend of his. Whilst he said he did learn quite a lot from his enemy in the film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Badlapur will be realeasing soon and we are keen on seeing how this film pans out for Varun as he says that this is a crucial film for him which might win him his entry ticket to the 100 crore club if everything goes as planned. We wish luck to Varun that he may succeed in getting his ‘Badla’.
