Actor Varun Dhawan has been finalized by Karan Johar for his upcoming project “Shuddhi” earlier it was reported that superstar Salman Khan will be hero of the movie. The young artist rubbished the rumor about the film being based on author Amish Tripathi’s debut book “Immortals of Meluha”.
Varun stated to media very clearly about the film and its false story, “There are lots of things that are new in this film (Shuddhi). There is a rumor that it is based on
Meluha… Shiva and all that… but it is not true…. The film is on a completely different subject”.
Earlier before roping Salman Khan in the upcoming feature film, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were chosen for it. But the producer of the movie Karan Johar announced that the “ABCD2”, actor as its hero. Well, Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite David Dhawan’s son as the female lead and “Agneepath” fame Karan Malhotra will direct this forthcoming flick. Alia Bhatt and Varun already worked in box office success SOTY (Student of the Year) and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, so we can expect something good and interesting from them.
In an interview, Varun says about Shuddhi, “With “Shuddhi” lot of people have said a lot of things… I don’t want to say anything. An actor’s job is to act and I will just do things to the best of my ability… Then people have to decide how Alia and me have performed and whether they liked us or not”.
Apparently, “Shuddhi” will hit theater during Diwali next year and reportedly, the Dabangg of B-Town Salman Khan will be seen doing cameo in the forthcoming melodrama.
Currently, the young luminary is busy promoting his upcoming dance drama ABCD2 co-starring Prabhu Deva and Shraddha Kapoor, directing by Remo D’souza which is slated to release this June.
