Building trust in the capital of India, Uber on Saturday announced a joy ride for couples on the occasion of Valentine’s day. The joy ride, which was priced at Rs. 5,000. included a 20-minute chopper ride along with a poolside meal.

The service was available from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and the bookings were made by using Uber mobile app. The service was implemented in the partnership with chopper service provider EuroChopper and Asian Haus restaurant for the meal.

“So your Uber Delhi Team decided to make it easy for you to put together an epic date and help you kick it up a notch this Valentine’s. We’ve teamed up with EuroCopter and Asian Haus to create a truly special experience that’ll get you the title of best Valentine, ever,” Uber told its users via an email on Friday.

Uber had provided a door-to-door service in which the company’s black cab will pick up the couple from home and then will drop them back after the date at their prescribed location.

To avail the service, customers were requested to pay by using their Paytm account that must have cash of more than Rs. 5000, and should be linked with the company’s account to process the payment.

Past this, Uber introduced the panic button in the dial-a-car service app for its commuters to get help from any distress. Uber has made this attempt of introducing a panic button in the app, which when pressed directs the line to the nearest police and law enforcement department in the respective area. Passengers can now feel safe if the ride goes off the road, says Uber.

Uber in a blog post said, “Our goal is to make Uber the safest place in the city. To do this, we will continue to leverage our technology and operational scale to deliver rides that bring unprecedented transparency and accountability to your transportation experience. However, we cannot do this alone. We appeal to city authorities to engage with innovative companies like Uber to implement new technologies that deliver highly effective solutions to very real issues of safety, congestion, and job creation.”
