Triumph, the largest motorcycle manufacturer of British, with the aim, to strengthen its root in Indian market kick starts its latest bike called “Bonneville T100”. After witnessing several rumours and spy videos and photos, the all-new Triumph Bonneville T100 finally made its first appearance in the Indian market. Tagged with the price of 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Bonneville T100 has obtained it’s designed from the iconic 1959 Bonneville and the styling from T120.
While launching this high-end bike, Vimal Sumbly, the Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. said, “the demands for classic motorcycles in Indian market is huge, and our new range of bike will perfectly complement this requirement. With the new range of modern classics bikes like the all-new Triumph Bonneville T100, the company is looking forward to fortifying its market position in India with the motorcycle segment of 500cc, and above.”
Triumph first unveiled the Bonneville T100 at the INTERMOT motorcycle show, held in Germany. In the entire line-up of bikes from Triumph, it is the second most reasonably priced bike from the British Multinational following the Street Twin. As far as the design of Bonneville T100 is concerned, it carries the certain design cues as found in Triumph Thruxton R and also maintained the legacy of the original Bonneville 1950s. Satisfying its Modern Classic tag, the bike also is enriched with state-of-the-art features on the multi-utilitarian instrument group that contains a speedometer and a tachometer, close by various pointers.
The colour availability for the Triumph Bonneville T100 will be three shades like Aegean Blue & Fusion White, Intense Orange & New England White, and Jet Black, and the company will also provide 150 official accessories to the buyers, following their individual requirements. In terms of price, Triumph Bonneville T100 will cost Rs 7.78 lakh. However, the price may vary on the basis of location.
Conveying the inheritance of retro-styled plot, Triumph Bonneville T100 is improved with the customary Triumph highlights like the mark etched Bonneville fuel tank, wire-talked wheels, “peashooter” silencers with two-tone paint variants. The center of the bike is made with the 900cc fluid cooled parallel-twin motor which is mated on fuel-infusion that conveys 54 bhp at 5,900 RPM and 80 Nm of torque at 3,230 RPM alongside a 5-speed transmission. As announced by the Triumph, the T100 transmits 22% more force in the mid-range and 18% more pinnacle torque when contrasted with the previous model. Weighing 213kg, Triumph has slated the fuel tank limit of this bike to 14.5 liters.
Alongside these options, the all-new, cutting-edge Triumph Bonneville T100 will also be featured with ABS technology as benchmark next to other goodies including electronic ride-by-wire with various riding modes, toehold control, torque-assist clutch, and much more. Along with these options, the bike will also be equipped with a set of fresh daytime headlamps, LED backlight and an under-seat USB charging plug, for more convenience.
