Tata Hexa, the most-awaited SUV of the year is going to hit the market in January next year, while the parental company, Tata Motors commenced receiving pre-orders for it. The much-anticipated crossover-SUV – Tata Hexa, from the home-grown automaker Tata Motors is all set to take the Indian market by storm from the beginning of the next year and the Tata dealerships all across the country have kick started accepting advance bookings for the Hexa with the starting amount of Rs. 11, 000 only. The shipment of these crossover-SUVs will go on from the second week of January. Though, the ex-showroom price of this elegant sedan is still undisclosed by Tata; it is expected to cost 12-18 Lakhs.
Initially, Hexa will be accessible in 6 variants like XE, XM, XMA, XT, XTA and XT 4×4. Concerning value range, Hexa is expected to hold a starting price of Rs 12 lakh, while the top-end variant can go up to Rs 17-18 lakh. In terms of interior design, the inside cabin of Hexa represents the perfect fusion of comfort, elegance, and liberty. The cabin is found to be enhanced with a well-laid out design with either a 6-seat or a 7-seat configuration. Among premium features, Hexa is packed with a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment structure connected with 10 JBL speakers and a 320-watt subwoofer in the interior part. To play music, one also can connect his/her smartphone with the systems via mobile hotspot. The infotainment structure is compatible with the smartphone can be operated through it.
Rolling over to the design of the Tata Hexa, the new model of Tata Motors does have a number of similarities with the previously launched Tata Aria. However, n terms of drive and performance, the Tata Hexa is, in fact, an all-new sedan, enriched with new facilities and better performance level. On the designing front, the facade part of Hexa features all the strong attributes that an SUV should have including the strong face, broad honeycomb trellis, thick trapezoidal air weir, brawny bonnet, massive projector headlights, and a set of LED lights. On the other hand, the rear profile of the SUV is also sophisticatedly designed and is packed with the back diffuser, LED tail lamps of horizontal shapes, and dual chrome-tipped exhaust.
For all six variants, Hexa will be available with one engine i.e. a 2.2-litre ‘Varicor400’ turbodiesel engine which is found in the top-end variant of Safari Storme. The 2.2-liter engine is capable of producing peak power of 156PS and 400Nm of maximum torque. The base variant also has the same engine but with a lower capacity of 150PS force and 320Nm torque. With a range of transmission options, the base model of Hexa – the XE gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the XM and XT grades have a 6-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, the buyers, who will buy the XMA and XTA variants, will get a 6-speed automatic transmission.
From the second week of January, Tata Motors will start shipping the SUVs all across India.
