The unlocked and contract-free Sony Xperia XZ is now available for sale in United States, however, it is quite hefty at its price point. It is being sold in the country with a price tag of $699.99 (~Rs. 45,000) in Platinum and Graphite Black color options.
The Sony Xperia XZ had made its debut at IFA 2016 and now it is making its way to the shelves. Last month, the smartphone went up for pre-bookings in United States. Sony is not selling the device itself and it hasn’t teamed up with any carriers either, instead relying on Amazon. Few days back, at a media event in Udaipur, Sony India wrapped off curtain from its latest mobile, introducing some major highlights of specs and features. The smartphone is tagged with Rs. Rs. 51,990 around the country and the pre-orders for this mobile has been started from 1st October, on Amazon and other retail outlets.
On specification front, the Sony Xperia XZ flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD display accompanied by a curved 2.5D glass layout and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for the better protection against scratches. The rear portion of the mobile is integrated with an all-metallic body and fingerprint resistant glaze. Sony Xperia XZ selling in the United States does not have a fingerprint scanner like the international versions of the device. Enriched with the new Loop surface design, Xperia ZX has accommodated a number of far-out specs.
Sony Xperia XZ is powered by a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android Marshmallow. It is expected that soon company will roll out an OTA n 2-3 month Android 7.0 Nougat update. In memory part, the phone packs 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is further expandable up to 200GB via microSD card slot. A a 2,900 mAh battery fuels the handset to keep the lights on.
Coming to the optical part, the all new smartphone of Sony sports a high-definition 23-megapixel camera at its rear which is accompanied by a trio of image sensing technology and 5-axis video stabilization. Meanwhile, the front part of the mobile is featured with a 13-megapixel of shooter.
