Skoda seems geared up to strengthen its sedan portfolio in India by releasing four new models by the end of 2017. On Wednesday, Skoda has announced its car launch scheme for the next year which includes its first-seven-seater SUV, Kodiaq, Octavia vRS, and two other unnamed cars in 2017.
With an initiative to revive the overall brand and sale margin in India, Skoda, a part of Volkswagen Group finally declared the commencing plan for its lavishing Octavia vRS in India. As per the sourced report, Skoda with this scheme seems to bring more spotlights on Indian Auto Industry with the aim to fortifying its brand image by introducing its luxury sedan Octavia vRS soon in India.
As per the report, the Octavia vRS variant is expected to take over Indian roads very soon. Octavia vRS is the successor model of Octavia Car and is revived with added features and faster speed control system. In comparison to its predecessor model, Octavia vRS is outlined with higher speed and more refined look.
The go-quick variant of Octavia will feature a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that runs together with a moderate 220PS of force, clocking at a 0-100kmph time of only 6.8 seconds. Available in both petrol and diesel variants, it is likely to run in India shortly.
During this announcement, the Czech car maker also announced the release of its SUV Kodiaq in coming year, which is the first-ever seven-seater SUV. Kodiaq is the first model of Skoda which is designed going beyond the traditional style of the brand and outlined with more lavishing and comfortable seven seats.
Sudhir Rao, the Chairman and MD of Skoda Auto India said that, the company is planning to invest around 100 Crores in Indian auto market by releasing its 4 new model in 2017 as the inventiveness taken in the last couple of years have started showing their charisma in Indian market and company is getting good response from these.
