UPDATE: Leaked: Samsung Group set to launch its flagship Galaxy S6, next month
As per the rumours the Samsung Group is set to launch its flagship device for this year, Samsung Galaxy S6 by the end of March during the “Mobile World Congress” from March 2 to 6 in Barcelona. In line with previous rumours, the reports suggest that the device will carry a price tag around Rs 54,700 for 32 GB variant, Meanwhile, its 64 GB and 128 GB variant will be priced nearly at Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 69,300 respectively.
In addition, clouds are getting more clearer and one can assume that the Galaxy S6 might get launched in upcoming MWC’15 as the South Korean giant has sent invites for a Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for March 1. The invite gives impressions of several smartphones including the galaxy Note Edge and its curved egde variant.
As TeCake earlier reported, the rumor uncovers it as Galaxy S6 will boast a Snapdragon 810 or 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM, which may solve the hanging problems that were previously found in Samsung’s droidphones.
Moreover, the device may be featured with a 5.2-inch to 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560p of resolution. Leaks also suggest that the smartphone will be running on Android’s latest flavour, Lolipop 5.0. For image shooting, there may be a 20 megapixel of rear camera while giving special emphasis to selfie obsessed users, Samsung group has provided a 5 megapixel of front facing camera. The device carries battery capacity of over 3,000 mAh that can easily juice up the high-end device for more than a day, after getting it fully charged.
According to the reports, the Samsung Group’s Indian unit has imported a prototype of Galaxy S6 on January 3 in Bengaluru. A company’s spokesperson said that these prototypes, SM-G925F are imported for R&D purposes.
