The superstar, Salman Khan is back again in breaking headlines, this time not for his movies but for his infamous 2002 hit and run case. The Bombay session court sentenced him for five years, however, he got interim bail from Bombay high court just in few hours and later on May 8, the court has suspended the sentence itself. The Indian Bhai has kept himself away from judgment for 13 years.

Refreshing the case, on September 28, 2002, four people got injured and one got killed from Salman’s Land Cruiser. This Wednesday, it was proved that Salman was driving the car and he was drunk too. Salman has been found guilty in several charges including drunk driving, driving without the license, hit-and-run etc.

Many statements came into existence to rescue Khan, but the case took a shocking turn when his driver, Ashok Singh accepted that he was driving the car and Salman was sitting next to him. Later, the statement was proved to be false and he was arrested for misleading the court, however, punishment for him has not been decided yet.

After Khan was found guilty in the case and was sentenced for five year of imprisonment by Session court of Mumbai, his fans went into shock, but he got 2-day interim bail just in few hours as Salman’s team of lawyers took the case to Bombay High Court. The high court not only granted the 2-day interim bail appeal, it also suspended the sentence of five-year imprisonment.

Critics like Kiran Bedi, BJP leader said in a tweet that the “general impression is if u r a VIP, celebrity, privileged, rich and u can access best legal aid, you can avoid jail.”

Salman got relief as of now as Bombay High Court will be continuously off, starting from May 10 and the next hearing will be on June 15. It looks like everything is going in Salman’s favor. After the storm, Salman thanked all his fans on twitter. The megastar tweeted, “All those who prayed for and supported me thank u meherbani shukriya .”

The B-town is in the happy state now as Salman is working on his upcoming projects named ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, also Salman is doing both films according to his dates. So the business of these films may get affected due to his imprisonment.
