RICOH THETA S 360-degree image shooter
RICOH THETA S 360-degree video shooting tool is now available for pre-orders at Rs. 7,199. While, it comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,995.

Clicking 360-degree images will now be cheap and a piece of cake in India. Just after the launch of RICOH THETA S spherical camera in the Indian market, Ricoh India announced that the camera is now available for pre-orders on a 20 percent of advance payment i.e. Rs. 7,199 at the official web portal.

While, the device comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,995, and will be available for sale starting from December 14. It will also be sold on Amazon India and several Ricoh authorised retail stores. It is the newest model in the RICO THETA lineup of spherical cameras that enables the users to shoot 360-degree images and videos, previously, the firm has launched its Ricoh Theta camera, two years ago.

The spherical camera by Ricoh features an extra-high resolution, fully spherical photos and videos in a single shot, a live preview function along with greater compatibility with social media platforms.

It is a lightweight portable camera, whose application program interface (API) is based on Google-supported Open Spherical Camera API for compatibility with Google’s services. And allows the users to capture high-resolution spherical images of up to nearly 14 megapixels, thanks to its enlarged image sensor, fast and bigger aperture F2.0 lenses for more light through proprietary ultra-small twin-lens folded optical system, and a dual 1/2.3-inch, twin fisheye lenses—each with 1/ 2.3- inch 12MP sensors.

Users can share the captured images to their friends by simply uploading them to, which enables to share via Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr, and posted to Google Maps, Google+ and YouTube 360°Channel.

The RICOH THETA S is manufactured to shoot spherical video in full HD resolution i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels at a frame rate of 30fps with a maximum recording time of 25 minutes. The camera body flaunts a sure-grip black rubber coating and handy face-mounted LED mode indicator. It also offers a storage of up to 8GB to store the spherical images and videos, also, users can transfer them to their PCs or laptops by using the microUSB connectivity.
