QiKu Q Terra -The TeCake
Coolpad and Qihoo 360 joined hands to introduce QiKu Q Terra 6-inch phablet in India. The smartphone is exclusively available for sale on Gadgets 360 at Rs. 19,999.

A security firm, Qihoo 360 and the smartphone manufacturer, Coolpad has joined their hands to announce their new smartphone, Q Terra under the brand name QiKu (pronounced as ‘chikoo’‘ in Hindi). At the launching event, officials reveal that the handset will be available for sale from December 5, exclusively at Gadgets 360 at an introductory price of Rs. 19,999 with invite, while without an invite it will be sold at 21,999. In addition, the company will start rolling out the updates on the same day.

QiKu Global Vice President, Alex Qian said that India is a significant market for smartphones and it might be the top market around the world in next 18 months. Therefore, the firm is eyeing to strengthen its ground in India by targeting a sale of 1 million handsets over a year. He further reported that the company has placed 200 service centers across the country for after sales services.

Falling lights on the specifications of all new QiKu Q Terra smartphone, it flaunts a 6-inch Full HD 1080p Sharp IPS display that offers a pixel density of 386 ppi. Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the handset is powered by a 2GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8992 808 SoC that is bundled with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. In addition, QiKu has provided 16GB of internal storage to the device with an expandability option up to 128GB by using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the QiKU Q Terra is baked with dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and features like ‘Fast Focus’ (as low as 0.1 seconds), geo-tagging, and support for 4K video recording. One 13-megapixel sensor (Sony IMX278) captures a normal color image, while the second (Sony IMX214 Mono) captures a black and white image. When combined, QiKU says the resultant image has better color accuracy. Meanwhile, it also features an 8-megapixel of user-facing secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture could be used to click decent selfies.

The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM) supportable mobile phone comes with several standard  connectivity options including 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi. It is fueled with a 3700 mAh of battery with support for faster charging.

With the Q Terra smartphone, QiKu has made its debut  in India, where, the popular smartphone maker in China, Coolpad has minority of its shares in in the firm, and has made its debut in the market earlier in May with its two smartphones, Dazen 1 and Dazen X7, in an another joint venture with Qihoo 360.
