Protect your heart with this natural element coconut oil

Coconut oil is loaded up with a lot of health benefits such as hair care, skin nourishment, improved digestion and boosted the immune system. Furthermore, a new research has found that it is beneficial for heart health as well.

According to the researchers Kay-Tee Khaw and Professor Nita Forouhi, who are from the University of Cambridge, if you consume coconut oil for just one month regularly then it can reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease. For the study, researchers examined 94 participants who were aged between 50 to 75. These participants did not have family background with any heart disease or diabetes.

The researchers divided the participants into three groups, and each group was asked to consume 50 grams of one of three oils and those are coconut oil, unsalted butter or the extra virgin olive oil. The study aimed to find out how these three fats affect the cholesterol level of participants.

Moreover, the study revealed that group who consumed the olive oil witnessed a slight decline in LDL levels plus a five percent addition in HDL cholesterol levels which is known as the good cholesterol. Whereas the coconut oil consumer group saw an average of 15 percent rise in HDL levels which was the highest among all three oils. However, the group who consumed unsalted butter has seen the medium rise of 10 percent in levels of LDL cholesterol which is known as the bad cholesterol.

Therefore, if you want to keep the heart diseases at bay then start consuming coconut oil. It not only gives you the beautiful, healthy hairs but important for several beauty hacks and home remedies such as soothing dry hands, as a body moisturizer, helpful in controlling blood sugar by improving the secretion of insulin, and stops several stomachs and gastrointestinal problems like indigestion, hemorrhoids, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and constipation.

Coconut oil is filled with natural saturated fats, and these saturated fats not just improve the healthy/good cholesterol (HDL cholesterol) but also help in transforming the LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) into HDL cholesterols. With the increasing HDL level, the risk of heart diseases gets altered. All you need is to add coconut oil to the cooking or consume three tablespoons of it on a daily basis.

You can add the wonder oil in fried recipes, baked food, smoothies and or in hot drinks like coffee. If you are consuming the oil in hot drinks, then make sure to blend the oil for creamy texture if you do not want oil consistency. Isn’t it the best natural way to cut the risk of the heart diseases?
