Ahead of the official launch, two new most awaited smartphones of Samsung – S8 and S8 Plus, with pricing details and colour variants, unofficially tipped online. Samsung has slated to introduce both handsets on 29th March and just a few weeks ahead of the launch; the phones are spotted surfing the internet, with the complete price details. Following the new price details, the UK-based retail site MobileFun has already begun accepting pre-orders for both phones.
If the leaks are believed to be true, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be much more high-priced than the predecessor models of the same line-up. As shown in the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to have a price tag of EUR 799, while the higher model, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is tipped to cost EUR 899. However, up to now, Samsung hasn’t officially announced the price of both of its much-awaited devices.
The leaked price rates have been sourced from tipster Roland Quandt, who took to Tweeter to publicise the news. Alongside the price details, Quandt also shared that; both models will be available in three colour variants like Black, Silver, and a new Violet colour option. Some earlier reports have already confirmed about the Black and Silver colour option of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. But Quandt for the first time has claimed that the phone will also arrive with a Violet shade variant.
From the leaks, it is quite confirmed that the price of both Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will remain ahead of their precursor models. However, to cope up with the higher price range, Samsung is planning to proffer a great deal with the flagships. Among the premium features, Galaxy S8 is estimated to flaunt dual camera setup, dual-edge curved displays, dedicated key for the new AI assistant Bixby and technology like iPhone’s 3D Touch.
Among other standard features, the Galaxy S8 is expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S8+ is estimated to sport a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display. However, if the phones are outlined with rounded corners, then the screens may decline to 5.6-inch and 6.1-inch respectively.
Among the common specifications, both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. However, on the basis of regions, some variants are estimated to be powered by Samsung’s home-grown Exynos 8895 SoC. Similarly, in the storage department, both handsets are said to bear 4GB or 6GB of RAM, while the internal storage unit will have 64GB of inbuilt storage with an expandable option with a micro SD up to 128GB.
As far as the optical part of the phones is concerned, both smartphones are likely to flaunt a dual camera set-up at the back, with 12-megapixel sensors, while the front panel of both will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, both phones are likely to run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
