Piaggio since months was rumoured to launch its new edition scooters for 70th Anniversary and finally, the Italian two-wheeler brand finally kick-started the sale of two new motorcycles in India. Named as Vespa 946 Emporio Armani and 70th Anniversary Edition, Vespa warped up curtain from both scooters at an official event in Mumbai. The price ranges for both the bikes are tagged with Rs. 12.05 lakh and Rs. 96,500 respectively, and Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is said to be the most expensive scooter of India.
The design of Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is entirely inspired by Giorgio Armani, which is a renewed Italian fashion brand. The company, while celebrating the 130th birthday of Piaggio Group and the 40th anniversary of Giorgio Armani, launched both Vespa 946 Emporio Armani and 70th Anniversary Edition for the Indian market. The 70th Anniversary Edition scooter costs Rs 96,500 (both ex-showroom price, Pune).
In terms of specification and functionalities, Piaggio Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is fuelled by a 125cc 4-stroke 3V engine that is equipped for delivering 11.4 BHP of most extreme power alongside 10 Nm of pinnacle torque. This motor comes mated to a programmed transmission while Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and ASR footing control framework is a standard safety highlight on the scooter. The Vespa 946 is also outfitted with circle brakes at both the finishes delivering a top speed of 93 kmph.
A 125 cc forced-air cooled single-cylinder port-injected engine is powering the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani which is build of 11.42 PS of power and is mated to a CVT. It also contains a 220 mm disc brake at the front and rear, 120/70-12 spec front tyre, 130/70-12 spec rear tyre and an 8.5L fuel tank. The 946 Emporio Armani contains a whopping price tag of Rs 12.04 lakh and is believed to be the most costly scooter.
Rolling over to the Piaggio Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition, the scooter is launched to celebrate the 70 years anniversary of the Vespa brand. The Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition is already accessible in three variants for the international markets, which are named as – Vespa Primavera, Vespa GTS and Vespa PX. Piaggio India, today introduced the Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition for the Indian market with the tag of Rs. 96,500 (ex-showroom Pune).
As far as specifications of the Piaggio Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition concerned, the scooter is powered by a 125cc 4-stroke 3V engine that delivers the highest power of 11.4 BHP alongside a peak torque of 10 Nm. An automatic gearbox is embedded in the scooter for operating the transmission duties while the scooter also has an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and ASR traction control system as standard safety measurement. Measuring 1860*1340*735 mm alongside the seat height of 780 mm, the Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition is also enriched with the fuel tank capacity of 8-litres. Its Euro 4 compliant engine is designed to deliver a fuel economy of 42 kmpl.
