The smartphone manufacturer known for its camera phones, Oppo has announced its A57 model in its home country. The company announced that the Oppo A57 will be available for sale in China from December 15 and have plans for global launch as well. The handset was unveiled in Rose Gold and Gold colour variants, with a price tag of CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 15,800).
The highlighting feature of the smartphone is its 16-megapixel of front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, which is also its USP. Moreover, the Oppo A57 is fronted with a 5.2-inch HD LCD display which is protected by a 2.5D curved glass. It also sports a fingerprint sensor which is placed on the home button of the phone.
Apart from the high-quality front-facing camera, the handset also boasts a 13-megapixel of rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and flash. It is also backed by a 2900mAh of battery, under the hood.
Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Oppo A57 is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which is bundled with an Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. For storage purposes, Oppo has featured the A57 smartphone with 32GB of internal memory that could be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The handset comes with all standard connectivity measures and sensors including 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. While, the onboard sensors include a fingerprint sensor, compass magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscope. The dimensions of the A57 are 149.1 x 72.9 x 7.65 mm. It weighs 147g.
