Remember about Nubia Red Magic 3, the phone that has been making the rounds of rumors mills? Chinese smartphone manufacturer Nubia officially launched the successor Red Magic 3 gaming device which apparently is more than just a gaming phone as it integrates a plethora of features that are far more impressive than its predecessors.
Based on the specs sheet released during the Sunday launch event, Nubia Red Magic 3 is fitted with a colossal 6.65-inch FHD+ ultra-widescreen AMOLED display which comes with a 240Hz touch refresh rate and an impressive 90Hz screen refresh rate. The device delivers touch responses in as low as 4ms duration while packed with DC dimming feature so that you can play your favorite games at night without any issues with the screen’s brightness.
The obvious part of the device is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor backed with a 6GB RAM that goes up to 12GB of RAM with a maximum internal storage of 256GB. The device boasts a giant 5,000 mAh battery integrated with Nubia’s 27W fast charge system that delivers juice at a stunning rate unmatched by its predecessors and all that squeezed in a phone with a thickness of just 6.65mm which if taken into perspective, is still slightly more than a millimeter thin from iPhone XS which has a thickness of 7.8mm.
The colossal battery that we added above delivers 9.26 hours of video playback and a stunning 13.64 hours of web browsing based on the stats provided by the manufacturer. Don’t worry about overheating or even heating as the device doesn’t just packed in a liquid cooling system backed with copper heat pipe but it has an actual cooling fan that generates a momentum of over 14,000rpm and gushes out the heat as and when produced even when you are playing the most intensive game on a loop.
The device has a 48MP rear single camera setup powered by a Sony IMX586 sensor while the front is backed with a 16MP f/2.0 sensor although there is no optical stabilization available at this point. But yes, the device does show some photography chops including a super slow motion mode which racks in a whopping 1,920 fps and it is able to record 8K videos without any hassle.
The phone looks stunning by the point of design with a red-blue hue on the back panel with an artistically designed fingerprint scanner and the rear camera squeezed right at the center of a right-angle triangle.
Speaking about the pricing, Nubia Red Magic 3 is officially available at 2,899 Yuan or $430 for its 6GB/64GB model while the higher 6GB/128GB will fetch around 3,199 Yuan or $480, 8GB/128GB model will be charged at 3,499 Yuan or $520 and finally, the largest 12GB/256GB model will be charged at a price tag of 4,299 Yuan or $640.
