Nokia 6

Soon after Nokia raised the curtains over its new model Nokia 6 for pre-registration, the smartphone went up for sale in China via online retailer JD.com. As we had earlier seen that the smartphone received an overwhelming response during the pre-bookings, it was expected that the flash sale will pack up within the seconds and the real happening has gone the same, the device went out of stock in a minute in the sale on January 19.

The number of Nokia 6 units sold at the first flash sale is unknown, but the new Nokia Android phone has gone out-of-stock within a minute, reports Anzhuo.cn. The Nokia 6 got a positive response from 2,50,000 interested buyers within a single day and managed to receive one million registrations since January 4, the day of commencement of registration.

The first smartphone by HMD Global and with Nokia branding in 3 years, the Nokia 6 comes with a price tag of CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,000) in China. The android Nougat Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display and is protected by 2.5 Gorilla Glass.

With a hosting capacity of 3000 mAh battery, this smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chip. According to industry experts, this battery size may create a loophole for this phone as phones of this kind need a larger capacity to run smoothly for a longer duration. RAM will be 4 GB and it can provide 64 GB of internal space which can be extended up to 128 GB via a microSD slot.

For selfie lovers, the Smartphone flaunts a selfie shooter of 8 MP and similarly have a PDAF rear camera of 16 MP at its back. On the home button, one can find the fingerprint scanner. For music lovers too, it has a dual amplifier speaker with Dolby Atmos technology. The other features include Wi-Fi, USB-OTG, GPS, and Bluetooth.

Till now, makers have not disclosed anything on its availability to other parts of the world.

If rumours are to be believed, it is also expected that Nokia will launch its Supreme model, also known as Nokia 8, in coming February. Also, expectations are there on HMD Global as it may announce more new upcoming sets of Nokia on February 26, a day prior to the beginning of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016.
