Nokia 6 Unofficially Hits Availability in India via a Third-Party Online Retailer

With Tech Giant, Nokia joining the ranks of smartphone makers by releasing Nokia 6 this year in China, the competition to gain an advantage in the smartphone market just got a little more intense. As the old-timer made the announcement regarding the launch of one of the first smartphones this year, buyers have been speculating the launch of another new device by Nokia for some time now.

As per the recent reports, Nokia in collaboration with the tech start-up, HMD Global is all set to re-enter into the smartphone market by launching three new devices, namely Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 in the second quarter of 2017. Earlier this year, Nokia brought out the Nokia 6 Android smartphone to the MWC 2017, Barcelona. Reportedly, HMD Global supported by Nokia and Foxx would be entering as many as 120 markets all over the world when the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are launched in the second quarter. For Indian Market, the new Android devices by Nokia are expected to hit the shelves sometime by the end of May or first half of June.

A few days ago, Nokia decided to re-launch the classic Nokia 3310 feature phone in the APEC region. As per Ajay Mehta, HMD Global’s VP India, the feature phone Nokia 3310 would make a debut a little earlier than the rest of the device due launch. The other two Nokia smartphone 3 and Nokia would be using the Android Nougat 7.0 version and are expected to be marked at a price of about Rs 9800 for Nokia 3 and Rs 13000 for Nokia 5.

The features of the new Nokia 3 would include a 5-inch HD display with a MediaTek MT6737 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. With a sound 16GB internal storage, Nokia 3 packs some very decent features. On the other hand, Nokia 5 would be having a 5.2-inch IPS HD display and a Snapdragon 430 processor. The device would be sporting a 13 MP rear and 8 MP front camera. The 3000 mAH battery and the 64 GB inbuilt storage are expected to be the USP of the device.

What remains to be seen is the overall sentiment of the potential buyers towards the brand that’s making a comeback after a long sabbatical.
