Launched back in 2016, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT has been revamped with new features. Commenting on the launch, Vijay Nakra, senior vice-president, sales and customer care, the automotive division said, “We believe this model will do very well because of the value proposition it offers at this price point. Last year the Mahindra hasn’t received that much of response as they earlier expected. And hence, the automaker has come up with its newly revamped KUV100 NXT 2017 in the market. The car has been upgraded to an extent which makes it more appealing to the consumers.
In a talk with a company executive, he noted that Mahindra has also made mechanical changes as well despite using the same engine. Speaking about the design, he said that the company hasn’t made drastic changes to the design, as it looks similar to the older ones. Besides, some tweaks can be noted when comparing both of the versions carefully.
The KUV 2017, at the front, flaunts an updated front bumper which is designed with more plastic cladding around the fog lamps, redesigned wiper, and a new mesh. Meanwhile, viewing the car from the rear you can find new clear lens taillights with chrome bezel inside. That is coupled with a revised rear bumper in conjunction with the front lines. A couple of faux skid plate finished in brushed aluminium also charms the beauty of the beast.
Having the signatory spacious interior of its price range the Mahindra KUV100 also boasts several other features possed by expensive cars. The top variant of six-seater semi-SUV/hatchback KUV100 K8 trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with audio and navigation support but no Android Auto.
Other top-end variants sport all-black interior and brushed silver inserts for the premium touch. While the lower ends are decorated with basic grey matting and dashboard that is usually seen in low-budget cars.
The features like steering wheel-mounted control, auto climate control, height adjustable driver’s seat and other, makes the KUV100 NXT a complete package. As far safety is concerned, Mahindra offers dual airbags as standard on the KUV100 NXT.
