Galaxy S6 and S6 edge TeCake

Ever since the launch of Android 7.0 Nougat, the update for the previous generation devices has been hotly-anticipated by the users. Especially, those who are using the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, have been expecting the update somewhere towards the end of February 2017. However, as per the latest word released by the Korean Smartphone giant, the updates for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is now “delayed indefinitely” as the company is still in the process of reviewing and the quality of the update for the older handsets.

This news came in shortly after Samsung announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in mid-April this year. Also, the company has decided to roll out all the next generation devices with the new version of the Android OS i.e. Android Nougat 7.0. Samsung UK would be launching the product in the UK first and later on the new Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 would hit the markets in other parts of the world. Unfair Much? Yes, we thought so too.

Android Nougat 7.0 was released in the last part of 2016 and until now has reached a 1 percent mark with all the Android devices in use across the world. So far, the various smartphone manufacturers including Samsung have decided upon releasing all new flagship products in this version of Android as it has a superior UI experience and has done several changes to itself that can ensure high performance like multi-window capability, quick panel, etc.

What the users of the older handsets like Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge can do, is to keep their Samsung updater app-enabled, so that they may receive the updates as soon as it is released by the Company at a later point. Meanwhile, Samsung was also in the news for the launch of its Mobile payment system Samsung Pay, launched in India in collaboration with major banks and Paytm.
