Following the footsteps taken for the flagship device Mi 4, Xiaomi has revealed through its social media handles that the firm is offering a price cut of Rs. 2000 on its Redmi Note smartphone.
The Redmi Note 4G is now available at Rs. 7,999 at Mi.com and Mi India partners including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Stores and selected Airtel stores.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi India announced from its official Twitter account that the company has dropped its Flipkart flash sale model for the device and it has managed enough stock to sell the phone without any registration process.
However, sources reported that Xiaomi was making the stunt to increase its annual sales and sell out the remaining stock. It had also been said that this trick will allow the company to deepen its roots in the country.
Refreshing tech-specs, the device runs on Xiaomi’s MiUi interface based on Android 4.2 supported by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
It is featured with 13 MP of primary camera and 5 MP of front-facing camera. The device got a 3100 mAh battery and boasts 5.5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
