Smartron, the Indian tech company has started sending out the media invites for the official launch of its t.phone smartphone scheduled for launch on May 19. The company is already sending teaser on its twitter handle about the launch . The tweets read “Don’t miss the star of the smart revolution. Save the date – May 19th with hashtag #tPhoneIsComing.
According to The Mobile Indian, the specifications of the t.phone smartphone include a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The device is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The smartphone is expected to sport a rear camera of 12MP and a front shooter of 4MP. The t.phone will have dual-SIM support and comes with 4G band and the usual connectivity options.
According to the reports, Smartron is planning to market the t.phone smartphone as the lightest 5.5-inch Android smartphone. In March, Smartron alongside the t. Phone smartphone has also rolled out its ultrabook called t.book for Rs 39,999 in India. In an event held in Delhi, Sachin Tendulkar, the Indian cricketer has unveiled both the devices.
The Smartron t.book comes with a 12.2-inch display with 2560×1600 pixels resolution. The ultrabook comes packed with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 128 GB internal memory. The device can also function as a tablet by removing the keypad since it comes with a detachable keyboard.
The t.book comes with a 2-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera and has one micro HDMI port, two full sized USB 3.0 port, a micro SD card slot for 128 GB capacity, Type C charging port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device is backed by a 37 Where battery which the company claims to offer 10 hours of web browsing. The ultrabook will be available in full grey and grey+orange color variants.
