Huawei has unveiled its Honor 6X smartphone in the event held in China. It is available for pre-orders in the country in five color variants – Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue, and Rose Gold color. While, the shipping will be commenced on October 25.
In addition, the Huawei Honor 6X comes in three storage-RAM combinations as well – 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB RAM/32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 9,900) while, the 4GB variant with 32GB internal storage and 64GB internal storage is priced at CNY 1,299 (approx. Rs. 12,900) and CNY 1,599 (approx. Rs. 15,800) respectively.
The Honor 6X is a successor to the Honor 5X, which was launched around the same time in 2015. It comes with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display protected by 2.5D curved glass protection. It features a (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) Kirin 655 octa-core 16nm processor which is bundled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. As discussed before, it supports different internal storage options which can be further expandable up to 128GB through a hybrid microSD card slot. The Huawei Honor 6X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EMUI 4.1 OS.
Talking about the camera modules, it sports dual camera setup at the rear side with one 12MP sensor with PDAF support and an another one 2MP sensor fixed just below to the previous one with LED flash support. In addition to that, it also houses an 8MP selfie-shooter at the front.
Honor 6X is backed by a 3340mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options integrated into the phone contain 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS. The fingerprint sensor is also embedded at the rear side of the phone and the company is claimed to read prints quickly and unlock the headset in 0.3 seconds. Measuring 150.9×72.6×8.2mm, the smartphone weighs 162 grams.
