At an event held at Sao Paulo, Brazil on Friday, the Taiwanese manufacturer, Asus has unveiled yet another variant of its ZenFone 2 Deluxe, which is named as its Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition. The features of the handset will be integrated with a gigantic 256 GB of onboard storage to it.
Apart from the internal storage, the Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special edition is quite similar to the base variant as it comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 72 percent screen-to-body ratio. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop supported by a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 SoC, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM.
On photography front, the 13-megapixel rear camera captures crisp quality images, meanwhile, the over the leaf, 5-megapixel user-facing camera takes decent selfies and shots flexible quality video for video calling that enable the device to use less bandwidth during the task.
The dual-SIM, dual-standby 4G/ LTE entertainment box cum mobile phone is fueled with a 3000mAh battery that handles it to deliver a whole day long power backup.
However, the pricing and availability details didn’t reveal by the company. Indian consumers can avail the base variant on Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe at a price of Rs. 22,999 as it is up for pre-orders on Flipkart with its siblings, Asus ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone 2 Laser.
In addition, the firm reported at the event that it has managed to sell out around 12000 units from its second generation series across Brazil in just 20 hours of the launching. The new smartphones from the firm “offer Latin American consumers empowering luxury with perfectly-balanced beauty, functionality and performance, together with a premium user experience that can be tailored to the individual needs of mobile users,” Asustek CEO, Jerry Shen comments.
