Young actor Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming cinema “Brothers” kickass trailer released yesterday, which is well received by the audiences. In the Dharma Productions film, he will share screen space with superstar Akshay Kumar as estranged brothers who face each other in martial arts tournament.
The 30-year-old actor said, he was nervous to work opposite experienced actor Akshay who is already known for his action movies. “He (Akshay) has been doing kicking and punching for a very long time. Since it was my first film like this, I was very nervous to work with him”, Sidharth stated to reporters at the trailer launched of “Brothers” directed by Karan Malhotra.
“There was anxiety, nervousness but I have learnt a lot from them (Akshay and Jackie Shroff)… The way they deal with their work”, the budding superstar added further.
Sidharth also said regarding learning anything from Khiladi Kumar, “Akshay sir cracked jokes in Punjabi. His Punjabi is awesome. I wish to learn that from him”, the actor told.
The upcoming action drama Brothers is official remake of 2011 Hollywood film “Warrior”. In the movie the Bollywood actors are playing role of boxers for which Akshay had to shed 17 kilos while Sidharth had to gain 10 kgs.
Talking about the look in the melodrama, Sidharth exclaimed, “Karan showed me a photo of a six feet wrestler who has bald and I had to be like him, though not bald. But I had to be like him look wise. I gained 10 kgs and that was very difficult”.
“We had a team from America who helped us. I worked for four months on getting the right physique”, he added.
The artist said now I have to lose my extra weight for my next rom-com film “Kapoors and Sons”. “I struggled a lot to gained weight and now I have to work on losing it. It is not recommended to keep doing this. But there is away for it and my trainers help me”, Ek Villain actor said.
