The top mobile operator Vodafone on Friday announced unlimited data and call plan facility for its users. The plan says prepaid users can use the benefit of unlimited 3G/4G data and talk-time validity for 1 hour at just Rs 16 and Rs 7 respectively. 2G users can also access unlimited internet under the same plan just at Rs 5.
The scheme has been entitled as “SuperHour scheme”. Sandeep Kataria, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India in a statement told reporters that the scheme is customised to provide unlimited use of data at a fixed nominal price. Plus point is that there will be no download limit which means a user can unlimited browse and download.
All the above offers are not for single time use in a day. Customer can make repeated purchase of the above plans once it lapses by making each hour as SuperHour, told Sandeep.
Adding to point, he also told about the unlimited talktime facility. With a simple recharge of Rs 7, a Vodafone user can enjoy unlimited talktime offer for 1 hour but the offer is valid for local Vodafone-Vodafone calls not for Vodafone-Others. 2G customers can also enjoy the benefit of unlimited access and download of data at Rs 5.
The offer is launched on January 7 (today) on a limited user basis and soon will be available in all circles by January 9 except in Bihar-Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana.
Since the launch of Reliance Jio, all other mobile operators are facing severe loss as it has attracted a larger mass of customer by offering unlimited 4G data and free talktime to any network as welcome offer. Thanks to the poor voice service and not-so-speed 4G internet that people are still relying on these old players and they are also trying hard to hold their customers by introducing lucrative offers every now and then.
