Indian budget airline, SpiceJet today announced discount scheme for its customers to travel with airfare as low as INR 1599. The company announced this as a Valentine’s Day special offer, which is valid for domestic airlines and for traveling in between February 15 and April 15 this year. Commencing today, the offer is valid from February 04 to February 06, 2015.
“We love you with all our heart. We are thrilled to experience great results for our first sale offer of 2015 which clearly shows the confidence bestowed on SpiceJet. To celebrate this confidence we decided to launch a Valentine’s Day sale offer,” SpiceJet chief commercial officer Kaneswaran Avili said in a release.
This is the second time when the carrier has introduced such discounts for the Indian travellers. Earlier, SpiceJet was offering the flight bookings for as low as INR 1499. The offer was only limited till the 1st February 2015.
As per the several reports, SpiceJet is currently under the process of the change in management control. Last week, the board of SpiceJet approved the proposal to transfer Maran’s entire 58.46 percent stake in the company to Singh under a revival plan.
Even after introducing such schemes, SpiceJet market was still looking at a loss of 2.00 percent at 22.00. The market started with the airline having its value at 22.40. However, it soon felt down to 21.90 at the closing time. The high for the company was 22.60. Company has a market capital of nearly 13.51Bn.
If we look at the past reports, the airline has seen some massive growth in the last one month. The overall performance of the company is still appreciable, hope it sees more growth and revenue.
