Bollywood’s Kissing King Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming film Mr. X is dated to release on April 17, 2015 and many speculative comments have surrounded the film saying that it might be a remake or copy of Mr. India rather than being a completely different movie with few shades of revenge embedded into it, as Mr. X team claims.
Mr. X is an upcoming Indian 3D sci-fi thriller directed by Vikram Bhatt under the Vishesh films banner. It stars Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur as the leads. It is a story of a man who gains the power of invisibility in a life-altering accident, and sets on a path to take revenge on those who have wronged him.
Speaking in terms of similarities between Mr. India and Mr. X, Emraan Hashmi said, “There is no connection between Mr. X and Mr. India apart from a man going invisible but then also Mr. India gets a watch in which he presses a button and goes invisible. But, in our film, he is a man who almost dies and because of a malfunction in his cells, he is unable to reflect light and then harnesses his powers to become a super hero”.
He further added that Anil Kapoor could be seen in a red light, but in this film the protagonist could only be seen in sunlight or blue neon light. Also, the plotline of Mr. India involved him becoming a vigilante and fighting for the betterment of society. But Mr. X is no Superman. He is a man on a mission and won’t think twice before making a kill.
There have been news surrounding the fact that there will be sequels to the film and it might be converted to a franchise, but that will be depended on the box office collection of the first installment of the trilogy.
Emraan Hashmi is especially excited about this film, as it will be the first film that his son would be allowed to watch. Since, given the young boy’s age, he couldn’t watch Papa Hashmi’s other movies, because of the ‘but obvious’ reasons.
We wish good luck for the success of this film, for it will be one of India’s few super hero franchise apart from Krrish trilogy.
