After getting the getting the Moto E first Gen) in hands of users from rural area of India, the Motorola has recently launched its second gen device like other device from the company, Say Moto G or Moto X.
The smartphone is available in four different variants; 3G/4G and Black/White in color at the e-commerce giant Flipkart for Indian consumers with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. However, the 4G variants are listed as N/A (mot available) on the website.
Also, the firm is offering free 500 MB 3G/2G data per month for 2 months in 3G/2G circles for Airtel prepaid and Bill discounts of INR 150 and INR 100 per month for 2 months on subscription of 3G and 2G data boosters of 500 MB and above in 3G and 2G circles respectively for Airtel postpaid.
The budget smartphone from Motorola boasts a higher quality of hardware as compared to the other phones in the same price range that comes with entry-level hardware installed in them.
The Motorola Moto E runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, out-of-the-box and sources suggest that it will soon get an OTA update by the company, which will improve the battery life of the device and remove previously found bugs by the developers.
The Lollipop OS is supported by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and advanced graphics, which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The superb configuration enables the users to switch back and forth between their favorite apps without slowing down.
The smartphone is fueled with a long lasting 2390 mAh of battery that serves up to a whole day power backup on standard usage. Moreover, the phone comes with 8 gigabytes of internal storage that can be expandable up to 32 GB, using a microSD card.
On the design front, the Moto E (Second Generation) is fronted with a 4.5 qHD IPS display, which is the sharpest display in its class. Images and text appear crystal clear on glass that stretches from edge-to-edge and a VGA webcam that is meant for video calling and chatting purposes. Meanwhile, the back of the device boasts a 5 megapixel of primary image shooter above the engraved Motorola’s logo.
The curved design of the Moto E makes it comfortable to hold the phone in hand. In addition, the front facing speaker serves the music experience to a higher level. The water-repellant coating and Corning Gorilla Glass protect the phone from damage and the anti-smudge coating on the screen keeps the fingerprints away. It measures 64.8×124.8×12.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 142 g.
