Micromax has launched yet another budget 4G smartphone, Canvas 5 Lite in India at Rs. 6,499 with brown leather finish on the back panel. The company announced that the Micromax Canvas 5 Lite handset is exclusively available for sale on Snapdeal from Friday.
“Micromax has been relentless in its pursuit of launching Smartphones that combine superior performance with contemporary styling at accessible prices. The launch of the Canvas 5 Lite is the latest milestone in our resolve to offer the best products at competitive price points,” Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics said.
The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is featured with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display, co-fronted with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the leather finish back boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash. A 2000mAh of battery fuels the handset, which is claimed to deliver up to 150 hours of standby time, and 4.5 hours of talk time.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Canvas 5 Lite is a dual-SIM smartphone, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P SoC bundled with 2GB of RAM. As far storage is concerned, the device sports 16GB of internal memory with no expandability option.
The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite smartphone comes with several standard connectivity measures like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India), and Micro-USB. While, onboard sensors include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and accelerometer.
