After manufacturing smartphones and mp3 players, Meizu has kicked-off its smartwatch lineup, Meizu Mix in China. The Meizu Mix smartwatches features an analogue display and its is announced that the device will be available for sale in the country by October.
The Meizu Mix smartwatch is unveiled in Black and Silver colour variants. Also, it comes in denim, leather, and steel straps. The company has price the denim strap at CNY 1,000 (~ Rs. 10,100), whereas the leather strap will be available at at CNY 1,300 (~ Rs. 13,100). While, the classy steel strap watch is launched with a price tag of CNY 1,500 (~ Rs. 15,100).
The smartwatch does not feature a digital display, and sticks to the mechanical analogue display. It has a 42mm case and the innards are protected by a sapphire glass screen at the front. It has a notification LED light, a vibration mode, is waterproof, and offers Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
To pair the Meizu Mix smartwatch with a smartphone, the user must have the Meizu app installed. It is featured with an accelerometer and gyroscope, and fueled with a 270mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 240 days (standby time, presumably).
Meizu is crowdfunding the smartwatch on Chinese site Taobao, and looks to raise CNY 500,000 (~ Rs. 50 lakhs) before it begins production. The firm hasn’t revealed a word on when the company plans to bring the smartwatch to international markets.
