Meizu, not-so-popular in India, but renowned smartphone company of China launched its new flagship ‘Meizu Pro 6S’, on 4th November. Meizu Pro 6S is the successor model of Pro 6 released earlier and is found to be the twin of the iPhone 7. With an upgraded camera and improved battery, Meizu Pro 6s looks quite similar to the recently introduced iPhone 7. Like the 2017 edition of Apple, Meizu Pro 6S also has antenna lines nearer to the edges, alongside a sleek design and aluminium body structure.
In terms of hardware part, the Meizu Pro 6s features a 5.2 inches Super AMOLED screen with the display resolution of 1080P. Surprisingly, the phone in enhanced with the 3D Touch pressure sensitive display technology which was previously found in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The phone is powered by deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor together with 4 Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.4GHz, 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and 2 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz. With 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and Mali-T880 GPU, Meizu Pro 6s also has 64GB internal storage. In terms of colour availability, Meizu 6s will be available in 4 variants like Grey, Gold, Silver and Rose Gold.
The most highlighted specifications of the Meizu Pro 6S are its enhanced camera and long-lasting battery. The optic part of the phone is clubbed with a12-megapixel rear snapper empowered by Sony IMX386 sensor. The camera is also integrated with 4-axis optical image stabilisation, phase-detect autofocus, and laser assistance that enhance the capability of the camera. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera clubbed with f/2.0 aperture with the massive 1.4-micron pixels is integrated into the front part of the phone.
In power segment, Meizu Pro 6s is backed by 3060mAh battery enriched with fast charging with mCharge 3.0 technology. Among other key features, 3D Press functionality and fingerprint scanner below the home button are also spotted on Meizu’s latest flagship. For now, the phone costs around $400 for the Chinese market and is expected to go on sale in International market shortly. However, particular launch date and pricing details for other markets are still undisclosed by Meizu.
