The successor model of Maruti Suzuki is ready to enter the Indian market in 2018. With a fresh, smooth look, Suzuki 2018 is expected as one of the prominent launches in the forthcoming Delhi Auto Expo. Though, there are already many variants available in international markets. The company is more likely to showcase, Swift RS, basic Swift model, and Swift Sport. This will be the first time when the company is planning to launch the complete Swift collection in the Indian market.

Meanwhile, new Swift RS 2018 model shares the same platform as new Dzire, Maruti Baleno, and Maruti Ignis which gives the improved performance and fuel economy. As per the speculations, Swift RS can come up with 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine and Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid system which produces 110 BHP of power and 170 Nm of top torque. Moreover, the transmission options include 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AT. The car was revealed at 2017 Geneva International Motor Show first.

While talking about the technical features, the stylish hatchback body is lighter than the previous one and stronger at the same time. Therefore, the overall weight of the car has reduced. On the exteriors, headlights are designed sweptback with LED daytime running lights accompanying with a unique grille and bumper design.

Whereas, the side looks of the car are same as the previous Swift. The car gets diamond-cut allow wheels and floating finished roof. The back design also receives the new touch with tail lamps (LED) and bumper. In the interiors, new Swift owns a flat-bottom steering wheel and twin-pod instrument cluster. The car is packed with automatic climate control and touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment system has become common in the Maruti’s high-end cars.

The company also offers the Maruti Suzuki Swift in two engine variants in the international market One variant is powered by a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine which focuses on performance. Another option is packed with a 1.2-litre DualJet engine. If your priority is getting high fuel economy from your four wheelers, then there’s also the 1.3-litre Diesel engine which can get the SHVS mild-hybrid system.

The car is fierce competition for the Nissan Micra, Hyundai Grand i10, and Tata Tigor in term of the price segment and overall performance. While talking about the price for Indian market, Maruti Suzuki may launch its stunning model in between the range of Rs 4.78 Lakh – Rs 8 Lakh.
