Reliance launches two Lyf smartphones Flame 7 and Wind 7 in Indian Market at Rs. 3,499 and Rs. 6,999. The devices are listed on the official website and it is expected that the handsets will be available for offline sales at Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress.
The Lyf Flame 7 and Wind 7 also support 4G LTE bands in India – FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) and TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz), like other smartphones in the lineup. In addition, they features VoLTE (voice over LTE) support with HD voice call compatibility.
Reliance’s Lyf has updated its Lyf listings to mention users can avail extended warranty of 24 months by registering via the LyfCare app.
Lets talk about the detailed specifications of the smartphones
Lyf Flame 7
The Lyf Flame 7 smartphone comes with dual-SIM support (regular SIM + Micro-SIM) with 4G connectivity on one SIM at a time. It flaunts a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) IPS LCD display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass and 218ppi pixel density and boasts a 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus secondary camera.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, out-of-the-box, the smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830A processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
The Lyf Flame 7 comes with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB apart from 4G (LTE Cat 4 support) as connectivity options. The handset measuring 126x64x10.8mm and weighing 113 grams, is fueled with a 1750mAh battery that is claimed to offer 4.5 hours of talk time and up to 175 hours of standby time.
Lyf Wind 7
Available in Black, Blue, and White colour variants, it is also a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Micro-SIM) smartphone with both SIM slots are 4G enabled, though, at one time only one SIM can use 4G while the other will work on 2G. It sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 294ppi, which is co-fronted with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
While, it is backed with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash with face detection and smile detection modes, and a 2250mAh battery, under the hood. The battery is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time on 4G network.
The Wind 7 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-boxsupported by a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage using a microSD card up to 128GB.
The smartphone comes with several connectivity options such as GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB, apart from 4G (LTE Cat. 4). The handset measures 143.5x72x8.7mm, and weighs 156 grams.
