Strengthening roots in Indian smartphone market, the Reliance‘s handset making brand Lyf has unveiled yet another 4G smartphone, Wind 2 with a price tag of Rs. 8,299. Similar to other devices under the lineup, Lyf Wind 2 also comes with VoLTE (voice over LTE) support.
A 6-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi is fronted to the handset, which makes the smartphone to be categoriesed under the phablet section. Along side, it sports a 2-megapixel of secondary camera placed up front. While, for primary photography solution, the company has fitted an onboard 8-megapixel of rear camera with LED flash.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, Lyf Wind 2 is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. On storage front, the handset comes with 16GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB. Fueled with 2850mAh non-removable battery, the Lyf phablet is claimed to offer up to 9 hours of talk time on 4G networks, a standby time of 190 hours, and continuous HD video playback of up to 6 hours.
On terms of connectivity, the smartphone support several standard connectivity options such as 4G (with support for Indian LTE bands, for one SIM only), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the handset include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and an accelerometer. The Lyf Wind 2 measures 157.5x81x8.5mm, and and weighs 223.00 grams.
Besides this, Lyf has recently announced a VoLTE supported handset, Water 8 smartphone in India at Rs. 10,999 in black and white color variants, with 24-months extended warranty.
The Lyf Water 8 comes with 5-inch HD AMOLED display featuring a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is processed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip in conjunction with 3GB RAM. Backed by a 2600mAH battery unit it is installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
