Cherish the old days when you as a child used to play the iconic board game with ludo or die. You used to roll out dies and take the tokens from home to the center of the Ludo board tackling opponents and either bypassing them or attacking them in order to become the ultimate Ludo King.
Ludo King is based on the game of Pachisi which was played in ancient times in India when Indian kings and queens used to play it as their favorite pass time. Fast forward to our childhood when I doubt that nobody has restrained from playing it as the traditional Ludo board game. It is one of the nostalgic game that people cherish and think about all their lives and guess what, it is back but in your smartphone. The rules and regulations remain the same and in fact, there’s more to the game than just a few friends playing it as a physical board game.
The user interface is easy and self-explanatory. You get an option to either play Ludo King with the computer or rope in a local multiplayer or get your Facebook friends to play with you. The game has two parts i.e. the iconic Ludo King and another famous Indian game Snakes and Ladder.
Playing Ludo King
I used to play this game as a child (board game) a lot and therefore, I am familiar with every rules and regulation and how to play it and since it is a digital version of the board game, there’s nothing much to remember. You have four tokens with you and you need a ‘six’ on the die to remove the token from the home and take it to the center and the first one to do so wins. Now, when you remove the token out of the home, you will have to bypass or run away from opponent’s token or attack it in order to complete a full circle and scale up to the center of the board and there’s always a chance of you getting attacked.
You can roll the die once but if you get ‘six’ on it, you can roll it again but you cannot get three 6’s because it will notify the turn and your opponent can use it to his/her benefit. That’s the pretty much basic idea on how to play the Ludo King.
Playing Snakes and Ladder
Snakes & Ladders (S&L) is another part of Ludo King in case if you are bored with it. The game works on the same principle and rules as the traditional S&L board game where you need to take your token from 01 to 100. The board is populated with ladders and snakes where whenever you land on the tail of a ladder, you end up scaling up towards the higher number via shortcut. In return, whenever you land on the tail of a snake, you scale up to the mouth of the snake and restart the game from 01. Similarly, if you accidentally put the token on the mouth of the snake, you’ll have to restart the game again.
What are the perks of playing this game?
Unlike the traditional board game, Ludo Game app allows users from any corner of the world to stay connected and play together. Since the game follows auto move system, there is no cheat codes or cheating allowed in the game. Also, you pause and resume the game as and when wanted.
You get options to chat with your friends or connect to other users either local or international players and get a friend for life. You can challenge your friends’ fora face-to-face duo or challenge the computer to play against it. You can add up to 6 players to play with this exciting game and all while chatting and having fun with them. These are probably few reasons why Ludo King has become one of the most downloaded game in India and elsewhere with more than 100 million downloads and counting and the user base is still growing thanks to the nostalgic and addictive gaming experience.
This is comparatively a new feature where Google Play Store allows the user to try the game before downloading it which means no commitment. This feature might not be available with other apps though. So, what are you still waiting for? Check out this cool game on the Google Play Store here.
