The only child of the King of Rock Elvis Presley and his wife, actress Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley herself is an American singer and songwriter. Marie is the sole heir to her father’s estate and has three albums to her name. She has married four times, two of them being major celebrities themselves, namely Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage. Her current spouse is Michael Lockwood with whom she has given birth to two twin daughters.
Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, and is aged 52. She has been active since 1997 and is currently single after four failed marriages. She is the mother of 4 children, including Riley Keough.
Early Life of Lisa Marie Presley
Lisa was born exactly nine months after Elvis and Priscilla Presley got married, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee. She lived with her mother after her parents separated and became the joint heir of her father’s inheritance along with her grandparents, and the sole heir after they too passed away not long after. She inherited her father’s estate on her 25th birthday which was worth $100 million and sold 85% of it in 2004.
She had met Freddie Mercury during a Queen concert in the late 1970s and gave him her father’s scarf and at the same time expressed her love for theatrics.
Presley released her debut album To Whom It May Concern on April 8, 2003, and it hit the fifth spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart and was gold-certified later that year in June. Presley had written most of the songs in the album herself.
Her second album, Now What which released in 2005 reached number 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Presley had co-written 10 songs on that one, and one of the songs, Shine, even has a guest appearance from Pink.
Her third album Storm & Grace came out in 2012, it was produced by Oscar and Grammy recipient T Bone Burnett and it too received many positive reviews.
Lisa Marie Presley Net Worth
Being the sole heir to Elvis Presley’s inheritance, you’d expect his daughter Lisa to be loaded. That is not the case however, in fact, her current net worth is -$16 million, meaning she is in a debt of $16 million – that too after selling 85% of her father’s estate for $100 million. This shouldn’t be surprising, however, since she has been known for her lavish spending habits.
Lisa has blamed and even sued her business manager Barry Siegel, claiming that he made some bad business deals while leading her to believe that business was good and ultimately leading to her bankruptcy.
She apparently has only $14,000 to her name right now, which is nothing for a woman of her taste.
