India is no doubt a great marketplace for vehicles and a number of cars and bikes are gearing up to be introduced to Indian users in the upcoming festive season. While the lineup of exclusive bikes in India is quite long, India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has added a new one to this line. In 2016 Intermot, the premium bike manufacturing company India Kawasaki Motors gifted India a new limited edition bike called – ‘Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT’ on Wednesday.
Today, without any media invitation and teaser release, the company silently launched its limited edition bike Ninja 300 KRT at 2016 Intermot Motorcycle Show. Featuring a stunning green-black insignia inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT), Ninja 300 KTR seems to be the perfect blend of modernity, power, stylishness, and speed.
Along with Ninja 300 KTR, in 2016 Intermot motor show, held in Cologne, Germany, Kawasaki also introduced two other bikes called 2017 Ninja H2 and H2R. However, Ninja 300 KRT is a special edition. Surprisingly, the company previously didn’t announce any particular date for the launch of Ninja 300 KRT edition in India. Without any official announcement, the bike is already showcased at the dealerships of Kawasaki India. As per the ex-showroom price of Mumbai, the new 300 KRT edition of Kawasaki Ninja has tagged with the price range of Rs 3.61 lakh. To recall, the new limited edition Ninja 300 KRT Edition is the upgraded version of the Special Edition bike that Kawasaki launched in November 2015.
In terms of design and specs, Ninja 300 KRT edition is embodied with the glossy combination of black and green colour while the previous model was featured with white and green paint. The new special model is also enriched with the emblems of KRT edition close to the fuel cap and the lower segment of the fairing. The new colour combination is reported to be derived from the Kawasaki factory racing team who participated in the World Superbike Championship.
Based on a semi-twofold support, high-ductile steel outline, the full-faired sportbike gets power from a 296cc, fluid cooled, parallel twin, DOHC motor. The fuel infused engine gets double 32mm throttle bodies to convey 39PS at 11,000rpm and a pinnacle torque of 27Nm at 10,000rpm. The driving force behind Ninja 300 KTR is a six-speed transmission using an Assist and Slipper grasp clutch for easy, super-fast, and enjoyable riding. The Kawasaki Ninja 300, in the front part also features 37mm telescopic forks alongside 5-way modifiable pre-installed monoshock at the back. The front wheel packs with a110/70 section tire supplementary a 290mm footbrake, while the back of the bike gets 140/70 section tire and a smaller 220mm disc.
Measuring 2,015mm*715mm*1110mm (length*Width*height), this special edition bike is enriched with a 1405mm wheelbase. Weighing 172KG, this motorcycle is packed with the ground clearance of 140mm. However, Ninja 300 KTR lacks ABS technology which is expected to come in 2017, with a higher variant of Kawasaki Ninja 300.
