A few months back LG had launched the Oreo beta program for the LG V30. Now finally LG has released the final build of the Oreo and has started rolling out this update to the LG V30 smartphone. As per the report, the size of the new Oreo update is around 1412MB, and it comes as OTA update. Well, there is a twist. For now, the Oreo update is only released for South Korean LG V30 users. But there is no need to worry as the company has informed that the Oreo update will be available globally very soon.
With the new update, the LG V30 will get some performance improvement, and it will enhance the battery life of the device. The Oreo update will enable the users to use picture-in-picture in the device by which they can do multitask at the same time. The users can now watch videos and text their friends at the same time.
“We will provide a differentiated user experience with stable and complete software,” said Lee Sang-kyu of LG Electronics Mobile Korea Group.
To recall, in November, LG had started the beta program for the LG V30 users. Then LG rolled out the beta update to some selected users and collected their feedback on this. LG had collected more than 500 opinions from the beta testers. With this LG has become one of the very few smartphone makers to release the latest version of Android for their devices. Earlier Nokia, Sony, and OnePlus have released the Android Oreo update.
Now coming to the LG V30 smartphone, the device comes with a 6.0 inch QHD+ OLED FullVision Display, and it gives 2880 x 1440 pixels of resolution. The device has the standard aspect ratio, i.e., 18:9. The screen-to-body ratio is 81.2 percent. The display supports HDR10 which will give improved picture quality for movies, TV shows, games, and user-generated content. The feature will enhance the brightness, color, and contrast of the content. Under the hood, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It comes with a 4GB of RAM and offers 64 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB using a Micro SD card.
Talking about its cameras, on the rear side, the device has dual camera setup. The primary camera has a 16 MP standard-angle Lens with f/1.6 aperture. It offers 71 degrees of field of view. It gives resolution up to 4656 x 3492 pixels. It features 10-bit HDR image sensor which will help capture up to 211% more colors for better photography. On the other hand, the secondary camera has a 13 MP wide-angle lens with f/1.9 aperture. It gives 120 degrees of field of view. On the front, the device has a 5 MP camera which has a wide-angle lens and supports f/2.2 aperture.
The LG v30 comes with IP68 dust and water resistant, and shock resistant with MIL-STD-810G testing. On both front and rear sides, it has a corning gorilla glass 5 protection and gorilla glass 4 on the camera lens. LG V30 is powered by a 3300mAh battery.
